And now we have had it over and done with….the day passed as expected with all the pink chaddis…however Mangalore celebrated silently…Bangalore was a huge blast with people really turning out and proclaiming that the importance of the day lay in the message of love and the world as a more loving place and not in a cultural clash... Great message what say….?
On the other hand you had a classic case of foolish excess and heights of idiocraziness when the Bajrang Dal thugs literally bashed up siblings thinking them to be a couple in love….that too on the great day….a real case of standing up for culture…The fools did not even let the youngsters speak….it is lucky that they did not get them to do the saath pheres…..hindu marriage….by force…just imagine if they were not allowed to speak and rather were put through the marriage rituals…classic culture..
And then you had some donkeys in Maharashtra forcibly getting a lad married to a donkey….strong cultural symbolism…what say…it means marry and love …on the great day…but only one of our kind….
Delhi and Bombay celebrated coolly and nicely….some stray incidents of local hooligans trying to act smart did come….nothing unusual…more a case of pettiness and jealousy rather than the culture charge….so long so good…
And the Harayana thugs (who else…policemen) were at it again…trashing a lady and people watching the spectacle…from seven year olds to teenagers…anything goes…its for the public good as envisaged by the gentlemen in Khaki…would changing the colors of their uniform change their behaviors….answers somebody?
Sonia and the leaders showed their love by inaugurating the new airport at Srinagar….really something very very good…as well as continuation of train services in the valley….cheers all around…now if only there could be more of interaction between people for both the sides without Indian or Pakistani interference…that would truly be a Valentines gift…May Omar be everybody’s Valentine…(not in any physical sense)….
And Rahul really is on a love trip in Modi’s Gujrat…In spite of him not getting permissions to visit campuses, universities…etc, etc….he has managed to get his message of love and concern across…it really seems that they have a lot of love for each other…who Rahul and Modi…who else…as they say all is fair in Love…
And to wrap it up…the Aussies and England players too are common in having a common love affair….hating Indian cricket and the IPL…the reason for their poor forms seems to be the Indian Cricket Board and the IPL….great….now we too can gift them the chaddis…or hankies …for the tears..what say….colors you decide…
Bye….Amhi Tuma Ke Bhalo Bashi…
